On our way back to Manali with our group, we passed a wall of cut trees and a lorry loading wood for fuel for Lahaul & Spiti.

We would like to thank all our knitters for their kind donations of sweaters, we are not taking any further donations at the moment, every child in the valley has 3 sweaters each, keeping them warm during the winter months. We may start donations again in the future.

The building of the Community Centre is progressing at a fantastic rate, despite bad weather and delayed supplies. There is a race to get the roof on before October 1st, when winter begins. We had an excellent turn out for our Musical Evening on Tuesday 10th June. Everyone loved the programme, Anup Biswas brought two of his children to perform with him and they were charming, we loved them.

During my visit to Spiti in March when the temperatures were still minus 15C at night, the days were quite cool too!
